Canada Red Rhubarb
Red stalks and flesh; very productive; great source of vitamin C, potassium and dietary fiber; plant 4' apart in fertile, well-drained soil.

Chokecherry
Lustrous dark red fruit make excellent jelly, syrup and wine; one of our favorite Montana native plants - beautiful at all times of the year; very hardy.

Golden Currant
Black berries are sweet and prolific; very hardy; most productive in sunny location with moist soil; another of our favorite Montana native plants - attracts wildlife and also provides much people pleasure; makes excellent jelly. (4-6')

Red Lake Currant
Vigorous grower, produces large, sweet red berries; very hardy and productive; makes fabulous red jelly. (4-6')

Adams Elderberry
More Vitamin C than orange and grapefruit juice; fruit much larger than wild plants; makes excellent wine and jelly; very hardy. (8-10')

Pixwell Gooseberry
North Dakota variety; very productive with pale green fruit turning pink when ripe; few thorns; berries great for pies, preserves, jams and jellies.

Valiant Grape
Makes good jelly and juice; hardiest for our area; skin does not adhere to the flesh; improved quality over Beta, the old standard for hardiness. Plant grapes 6 feet apart.

Regent Serviceberry
Top quality fruit, similar to blueberries; sweet enough to eat fresh and also good for jams and pies; brilliant fall foliage (4-6')

Boyne Raspberry
"Spring-bearing" fruit ready to pick in mid-summer; developed in Canada for excellent quality and cold-hardiness; shorter canes need no staking; berries medium size and sweet; Plant canes 2 feet apart.

Ft. Laramie Strawberry
Cold hardy and dependable for Montana conditions; sweet, delicious and abundant fruit. Plant 18 inches apart.

Honeyberry
Also known as Haskap Berry, elongated blue fruits can be eaten fresh, baked in pies, or made into jams and jellies; super hardy and excellent source of antioxidants and Vitamin C; best production when plant two different cultivars for cross pollination; prefers moist, well-drained soil.
