One of the brightest spots in the Montana Gardening Picture is perennials. We may be limited in our selection of trees and shrubs compared to some parts of the country, but with perennials, thank goodness, its a different story. The good news is that we have hundreds of beautiful, hardy plants to choose from.

In our opinion, the key to a successful perennial garden is providing plants with the conditions they prefer. Some require shafe and thers full sun, some constant moisture, and others dry conditions. And take note: most all of them will thank you with improved performance wen you add compost to your soil.

Planning a perennial garden is a lot of fun. Its a wonderful opportunity to stretch your imagination by experimenting with color and form, and by plotting seasonal bloom time. At Blake Nursery we are pleased to assist you along these lines.
