In business since 1977, Blake Nursery is a family owned and operated retail/landscape nursery in Big Timber, Montana. We have a well-established reputation for a large variety of hardy and quality plants, including Montana natives, and a loyal customer base. Our staff is known for being friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic.

Big Timber is the county seat for Sweet Grass County in south-central Montana. We are an hour from Bozeman and Billings and an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park. Big Timber is a small town with a friendly atmosphere, and the area offers excellent recreational opportunities with nearby mountains and rivers.

Nursery Retail Staff - Seasonal Plan Care and Sales

For this position we are seeking a people-oriented person with some horticultural experience and knowledge. We expect to provide considerable on-the-job training, but having at least some background in this field is a requirement. Also physical fitness is important since lifting and hauling plants is expected.

This seasonal job is filled with variety—seldom are two days the same. At Blake Nursery we strive to give our customers the finest quality plants combined with helpful planting and other care instructions, so our days are filled with plant and people care. Landscape Foreman

This position offers much in the way of challenges and rewards. And Blake Nursery, in business since 1977, is great place to work, with friendly clients and hard-working, fun-loving employees. With excellent pay offered, depending on your experience, we are looking for an individual who will take on considerable responsibility and represent Blake Nursery in a positive manner. Below see a list of primary responsibilities associated with this position:

•  Install landscape plans and maintain existing sites--both residential and commercial--in a professional and timely manner (Although you will not install irrigation except for drip, a working knowledge of irrigation systems, including control panels, is helpful.)
•  Effectively manage landscape employees
•  Operate and oversee maintenance and repairs of all vehicles and equipment
•  Customer relations and occasional customer consultations
•  Collaborate with landscape manager and landscape designer

Work week is typically 4x10 hour days.
