Blake Nursery Staff

Blake Nursery has a professional, caring staff with many years of experience in Montana horticulture.

MEGHAN FENOGLIO, RETAIL MANAGER

Meghan Fenoglio

This is Meghan’s 4th season with Blake Nursery. She has a strong background in horticulture. She graduated from Montana State University in 2003 with a BS in Horticulture.  She has much experience in nursery management, with an emphasis on Montana native plants, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and general problem solving, i.e. she knows how to get things done! At Blake Nursery she wears many hats including, but not limited to: customer sales and relations, website development, employee training, and general all-round caretaker. We appreciate her easy manner and delightful sense of humor. She does not ruffle feathers.

CJ MURRAY, MAINTENANCE MANAGER

CJ Murray

This is CJ’s 10th season with Blake Nursery. She came to us with no formal training in horticulture, but rather willingness to learn, high energy, strong appreciation for plants and people, and determination to find solutions to problems. Like Meghan she wears many hats. To name a few she is the go-to person for:  plant care, weed identification and control--with an emphasis on natural methods, irrigation, customer assistance, and general enthusiasm! We appreciate her many years of dedicated work at Blake Nursery.

Nora Melius

NORA MELIUS, RETAIL WORKER

This is Nora's 4th year at Blake Nursery and we're thrilled this charming Swiss (Zurich) national married a Montanan and by happenstance landed in Big Timber. Her background is in information sciences and library work, but she admits to "happily trading the office chair for potting gloves and garden hose." Due largely to her appreciation for plants and a hunger for horticultural knowledge, she is proving to be a quick learner. Soon Nora and Dave's home on a "small piece of bare land" will be transformed by sturdy native plants, and meanwhile Nora admits that "working with mother earth is the most rewarding thing I've ever done."

TOMAS LOZANO, RETAIL/LANDSCAPE  WORKER

Tomas and Huckleberry

This is Tomas’ 10th season with Blake Nursery (He primarily works with Blake Ranch, but likes the variety created by adding in some nursery work.)  What can’t we say about Tomas? For starters, he is extremely good-natured and rolls with the punches. He’s also a total plant lover and this becomes readily apparent whenever there’s a wilted plant needing a shot of water--- Tomas is the first to recognize the fact and move into action. Thus we often see Tomas, who hails from Peru, with hose in hand. His many fine qualities include: high energy, steadfast loyalty, being a team member, customer helper, kindness to others—including all animals, and a readiness to laugh out loud!

JODI LITCHFIELD, LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Jodi Litchfield

Jodi has been designing/landscaping in the Rocky Mountain region since 1995. She first worked for Blake Nursery in 1998 upon graduation from Colorado State University with a BS in Landscape Horticulture with a concentration in design and construction. While no longer a staff member since becoming an independent Landscape Designer, she has continued working with Blake Nursery over the years. We are grateful Jodi’s path converged with ours because she has played an important role in our ability to produce high quality, custom landscape designs. Her creativity and strong work ethic have resulted in beautifying many homes and businesses in our area. Her years of experience ensure that her designs are practical as well as pleasing aesthetically. With her there is no one-size-fits-all plan: native restoration, urban or suburban design, you name it—she will listen to your needs and make it happen. Thank you Jodi for your expertise and hard work!
